Mission Avenue Open Elementary School has been part of the Sacramento/Carmichael community for more than 65 years. A public school in the San Juan Unified School District, Mission is well known for its unique educational experiences such as overnight field trips to explore Northern California, engaging learning in outdoor spaces, community service, and integrating arts, music, and science into the experiential learning at Mission. Ultimately, we strive to create a well rounded elementary experience that instills not only the academic foundation for success, but also the knowledge and character required to make success a reality.
The All School Musical is a long standing tradition at Mission Avenue Open Elementary School. The Mission PTA is thrilled to be able to bring another artistic educational opportunity to our school community. More than 75 students and 100 parent volunteers will be working over the next few months on our 2024 production of the Wizard of Oz. All students are welcome and no interested student is turned away. But we wouldn’t be able to pull off a production of this scale without the support of our community.

We also welcome donations of goods, services, and gift cards that can be used for raffles and other fundraising incentives. And of course, tax-deductible cash donations are always needed.
