How was everyone above nominated?
A Nominating Committee was appointed at the February PTA meeting. The committee met several times to discuss potential candidates for the seven elected officer positions on the Mission PTA Executive Board. Multiple candidates were carefully considered. Candidates were identified by self-nomination or were nominated by a PTA board, faculty or staff member. As directed by our Mission PTA Bylaws, the Nominating Committee recommends one individual per position for the ballot. That individual must accept the nomination prior to this communication being distributed.
How can I vote for a nominated individual, either on this list or nominated from the floor on the day of the PTA meeting?
You must attend in-person or via Zoom, and be a member of the PTA to vote by secret ballot on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in Room E-1 or via Zoom poll. Per our bylaws, additional nominations can be made from the floor during the meeting.

How can I serve on the PTA Executive Board?
The nominating committee only makes recommendations for the seven elected officer positions. But there are many more ways you can serve on the PTA executive board. Our committee chairs — including fundraising chair, membership chair, play chair, Missionwear chair, communications chair, and more — are all also voting members of our PTA executive board. Chair positions are appointed by the PTA president, and ratified by the board. For more information, click here.
Thank you to our Nominations Committee members for taking the time to carefully consider each nomination: Katherine Boroski, Staci Harris, and Tenille Stewart. Thank you as well to our teachers and staff who submitted nominations, and to Principal Margaret Terzich who served on the Nominating Committee in an advisory capacity.
