Today is day 1 of Mission’s Storybook Read-a-Thon!

Today is the first day of Mission’s Storybook Read-a-Thon. Don’t forget to activate your child’s reader page and start tracking their minutes read in their dashboard. (Reader codes went home with the 10/16 materials.) Students are encouraged to read at least 20 minutes per day, but the more you read, the better! Our top readers (and top three classes with most minutes read) will win some fun prizes.

If your child is not an independent reader, they can still participate. Being read TO or listening to audio-books, and doing Raz Kids or Epic all count towards reading minutes for the Read-a-Thon!

We would LOVE to see what your kids are reading (and collect photos for the yearbook). Email photos of your child reading to books@missionpta.org, or share them on Facebook and use hashtags #MissionReads and #MissionMagic so we can find them.

This fundraiser is sponsored by the Mission PTA, which supports programs that benefit your children and their teachers. PTA funds things like technology needs, school supplies, the PTA scholarship fund, teacher grants, campus beautification and more.

NOTE: While we encourage everyone to share their child’s donations page, no fundraising commitment is required to participate in (or earn prizes from) our Read-a-Thon.
